  What a dumb analogy. It sounds like it was written by fifth grader trying to excuse their own bad behavior. However even in their own analogy they seem to have reversed the roles. Aren't they the ones washing the windows instead of taking care of the children? Wouldn't taking care of the children involve charity work and building hospitals so the children could have their physical needs taken care of? Or is having a access to a third rate religious magazine more important than food and healthcare to a sick or hungry person..

  From the book of the Watchtower chapter 3: I was hungry and you gave me a Watchtower magazine. I was sick and you were right there counting time and placing the Awake magazine with me.

  JWs should be ashamed to be apart of an organization that has the nerve to print such anti-christian thinking in the name of Christ. I bet that dubs in a hospital won't be stupid enough to leave that one laying around.

  the only thing they are worried about is people stumbling across apostate websites....they could care less about porn!

  they have to address the issue of pornography because they wont dare say the real reason...then peoples curiosity would be peaked and theyd go looking up information on the organization only to discover that they have been lied to and no on lives forever... .

  the sad thing is the rank and file members who cant think for themselves will then start looking at their mates in a judgmental way wondering if they are secretly involved in pornography..probably will result in divorces.

  I quit!

  Why don't they just admit defeat. Technology kicked their butt. For one thing you don't even need a computer to get on the internet. You can do it from your cell phone. People now use it to do their banking, buy stocks, pay bills, get sports updates. I guess there will be some that listen to their paranoid advice but most won't. And then one day when they decide to look up Jehovah's Witnesses the Watchtower's worst nightmare will come true.

  barks & snorts - is their major means of communication barks and snorts?

  matt 7:6 - "do not give holy things to dogs nor cast pearls before swine lest they trample them under their feet and turn and rip you open.

  my application of the above - my loyalty to an org might be considered a "holy thing".

  My efforts to correct untruth, false prophecy, or the injustices of a system that protects pedophiles, etc. might be considered as "pearls"

  You must have heard them bark: "Why are you trying to run ahead of Jehovah's organization." Or snort: " Wait on Jehovah."

  You were supposed to step up to the trough labeled "Spirtual Banquet" and eat whatever slop they told you to eat.

  that this globel issue of the nations of egypt, libya and others ... is the sign they looked for.

  now with what is happening in the usa, wisconsin to be exact, more trouble is rising and this is it.

  They may say that they believe that the end is upon us but the way I see them moping about in service is very telling about how urgent they really believe the situation is. They just can't seem to recapture the energy they had in the buildup to 1975.

  the reason i asked this is because i'm going to the funeral of a man who wasn't a jw.

  my mother-in-law has lived in the same neighborhood as him for years and knows his wife.

  i asked her if she was going attend the funeral service.

  I have a new answer to anyone who pressures me to get back into it (thanks FB friend:):

  I am your loved one, and that will never change, BUT I'm not your performing seal.

  I love that answer White Dove. Lately I have read post by several people that say they have to stay in the WT because people in their congregation really care about them and that is why they go on prending to be believing JWs. What they fail to see is that the people in their congregation that they think care so much about them don't even know who they are. They're just enjoying the performance they are putting on. If they ever stop playing the role of loyal Watchtower subject they will find out just how quick all that love and affection turns to anger.

  as a born in jw, i've always believed that jehovah had no beginning per say.

  at the same time i've had the house and watch having a creator argument stamped within my brain for use against evolutionists.

  some days its difficult rationalising god's existance as having always been, with everything else needing to be created by him.

  My advice to JW women: Once violence starts and nothing is done about it it tends to escalate because the abuser now know that they can get away with it. Sometimes the woman may wind up severly injured or dead. Once someone phyically attacks you I don't see any reason to stay with them. Get the hell out of the situation and tell the moron elders that you are reporting the incident to the police. They should back you on that or you should get them the hell out of your life also.

  And yet there are those who say we need to cut social services to the poor and break unions while at the same time defend tax cuts for the rich and defend two pointless wars that are costing billions of dollars that could be used to rebuilt this country.
